Bell & Ross replica watch is a brand renowned for drawing inspiration from the realms of aviation, with many of its watches taking direct influence from important in-flight instruments utilized by pilots. The BR 05 series— while undoubtedly geared towards the modern city-dwelling resident— also touches this well of inspiration, merging it with sporty-chic “urban” aestheticism.
In the BR 05 GMT Sky Blue, this meeting of influences is more fully on display, with the infinite skies of flight and travel functionality marrying seamlessly to the styles of the modern city, in turn paying homage to the azure expanse above and the world beneath our feet. The new watch, unveiled at the start of last summer, will be Bell & Ross’ highlight at WatchTime New York 2023 taking place October 20th to 22nd at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall, with details and tickets available, here.
The replica watch BR 05 GMT Sky Blue embodies duality: catering to both globetrotters and city dwellers, making use of the brand’s “round within the square” design, and balancing sport with refinement. Crafted with precision, the 41mm brushed and polished steel case exudes a style both elevated and durability that showcases this duality on the wrist, with its four bezel screws and integrated H-link steel bracelet adding to the style. On tis side, two subtle guards protect its screw-down crown, with its water-tight seal helping the timepiece maintain an action-ready 100m water resistance.
Underneath a sapphire crystal, a mesmerizing sky blue sunray dial takes center stage. Applied and Super-LumiNova indices are found at most hour marks, with Bell & Ross’ signature Arabic numeral font being put to use at the 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions, while a matching date window is at work at the 3 o’clock.
Overhead, a trio of the brand’s familiar hour, minute, and seconds indicate the running time, while an additional two-tone GMT hand provides the watch’s namesake additional functionality. Then along the outer edge is another two-tone detail in the rhodium-plated and sky blue 24-hour flange, with it adding a touch of contrast alongside assisting with the tracking of the second time zone.
Underneath the dial is the Bell & Ross BR-CAL.325 calibre, a self-winding mechanical movement based upon the Sellita SW-330. The movement features a power reserve of 42 hours, runs at frequency of 28,800 vph, and allows for quick setting of the GMT hand independently of the hour hand. The movement is finished specially for the brand, with it being showcased complete with its signature skeletonized rotor via a small sapphire exhibition caseback.
